You have been invited to take part in a very special televised Town Hall "style" discussion with Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 23 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.  Â
Â
The discussion will be video recorded and produced for the current affairs TV program, Inside Outlook. Our last episode with Governor Inslee can be viewed, here.
Â
What is the Caucus? It is a rough network of about 200 individuals here in Seattle that meet up quarterly at the Jade Garden restaurant in Seattle's Chinatown/ID to discuss politics. It claims no political affiliation.
Â
Periodically, the group hosts events, in which it invites community leaders and thinkers to discuss a specific topic with event attendees. All past events can be found at: Â caucuspost.org
Â
Caucus is an active participatory audience that is tasked with developing the questions to be asked of the AG. Â
Â
Tuesday 23rd will be no different. Except that a few cameras will be documenting it.
Â
You have been asked to participate.
Â
We are expecting a capacity audience so please hit that red RSVP button ASAP so we can confirm your participation.  Â
This is crucial. We have extremely limited space, and in order for us (and the fine folks at Jade Garden) to prepare accordingly it is mandatory that you RSVP. We will no doubt reach capacity for this event quickly so please do not wait to confirm. We will not be able to allow entry to indidivuals who did not RSVP. Â Â
There is zero private interest in the CAUCUS. There will be a banquet of food that will be served to each table. Plentiful for everyone involved. We simply ask that if you partake in the delicacies that you contribute $10 to the bill. There will also be beer and or wine available for purchase. Please bring cash. Â Â Â
As outlined in the rules of engagment, the discussion with the AG will be structured around the below issue areas. You can choose the night of the event, but if you are particularly interested in one of the issues and want to confirm a seat at the table please send an email noting your choice to: Â caucus@aiomedia.comÂ
What is this CAUCUS thing anyways? In 2010 it started as a small group of folks coming together around a Jade Garden roundtable to discuss current affairs, and matters impacting our local community. Â It has since evolved into a periodic "event," in which a predetermined issue is selected and a handful of knowledgable speakers are invited to dialogue with the group about it. Past events: caucuspost.orgÂ
The CAUCUS claims no party or political affiliation, and does not endorse candidates. We exist to engender community, raise awareness of issues impacting the community, and to enhance civil discourse. This is a public forum, with zero private interests. The $10.00 goes entirely to covering the Jade Garden tab, and assuring that their staff is well compensated (additional tips are of course welcome).
